User Preferences

Use the User Preferences page to personalize PowerSchool ERP appearance and functionality and adjust Workflow processing.

Menu Path

From the eForms and Tools menu, select All. From the Tools menu, select User Preferences.

System Settings Tab

Adjust your personal preferences on the System Settings tab.

Defaults and Displays

Field

Description

List Box Display

Choose the data and its order that you prefer when using a drop-down box for data selection. The drop-down box displays data options from a related reference table.

  • Code Only

  • Code - Description

  • Description (Code)

  • Description Only

Excel Export Preference

Choose the data you prefer when you have the option to export to Excel in a dialogue box.

  • All information

  • No Totals

Document Sort

Choose the order of documents listed when viewing files.

  • A - Alphabetical Order

  • D - Date/Time Order

Preferred Dashboard

20.11 and later.

Choose the dashboard that should appear when you log in to PowerSchool ERP.

  • Principal

  • HR Director

  • CFO

  • My Dashboard

Options in the Preferred Dashboard list may vary depending on user security settings and dashboards assigned by a system administrator on the Users page.

Description

Keyboard Mapping

Choose your keyboard mapping preference.

  • D - Default (Enter = OK)

  • P - Power User (Enter = TAB, ESC = OK)

Launcher Menu Mouse Control

Choose the number of mouse clicks to launch a new page.

  • D - Double Click

  • S - Single Click

Page Height and Page Width

Choose a default size for PowerSchool ERP pages that open in a new window.

  • Measures are in pixels.

  • Set to 0 to use the browser default.

Workflow Tab

Use the Workflow tab to choose how to receive Workflow notifications and designate a delegate.

Settings

Select an option from the Send Workflow Items to list.

  • Activities Page (found in the toolbar of many pages)

  • Email

  • Both

I am Delegating...

You can delegate Workflow tasks to another user for some time or indefinitely. All fields are required except the End Date. When you select a row, the Action Bar will display Insert Row and Delete Row options.

Description

Start Date

Enter the start date.

End Date

Enter the end date.

Workflow Type

Select the Workflow type to be delegated.

Workflow Task

Select the Workflow task to be delegated.

Delegate To

Select the user who will process tasks for you.

Delegate Name

Read-only field populated by the user selected in Delegate To.
