Attachments Page


Use the Attachments page to attach word-processing documents, spreadsheets, reports, photographs, and other files to a record. You can display attachments that were previously added if the View Attachments (paper clip) icon is highlighted.

  • The maximum size limit is 10 MB.
  • Supported file formats are .bmp, .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .rtf, .txt, .xml, .xls, .xlsx, and .tiff.
  • Your ability to display a file depends on having the appropriate software on your computer and your security profile and user access.

To display the Attachments page, click View Attachments on the toolbar after selecting a record. Some pages may have required fields before you can display the Attachments page. Messaging will prompt you to enter data in the required fields.

Attach a File to a Record

  1. Navigate to a page that supports attachments. The View Attachments icon will be active. If the icon is inactive then the page does not support attachments.
  2. Select a record. On batch processing pages, select a detail record for the View Attachments icon to become active.
  3. Click View Attachments. The Attachment Information section displays data related to the selected record. Data will vary depending on the page from which you opened the Attachments page.
  4. In the Add Attachment section, select a system-defined Attachment Group. The choices vary depending on the page from which you opened the Attachments page and security settings.
  5. Click Browse or Upload, and then use the window that displays to find the file you want to attach.
  6. Select the file, and then click Open or drag the file into the box.
  7. In the Title field, enter the title for the file as you want it to appear on the Attachments page.
  8. Click OK to add the attachment to the attachment list on the page.
  9. Click Back to return to the page from which you opened the Attachments page.

Display a File Attached to a Record

  1. Navigate to a page that allows attachments. Select a record. If attachments exist the icon will be highlighted.
  2. Click View Attachments to display the Attachments page.
  3. In the list section, double-click the attachment to display it.

Delete an Attachment

  1. Navigate to a page that allows attachments. Select a record. If attachments exist the icon will be highlighted.
  2. Click View Attachments to display the Attachments page.
  3. In the list section, select the attachment you want to delete.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Click Yes.

  6. Click Back to return to the page from which you opened the Attachments page.
