Customer Record Services
Menu Path: Choose Billing & Receipts, then choose Miscellaneous Billing, then choose Customers. Select Customer Information.
You can add Services after you create a customer record. Current services, including a default service as defined in your profile and activated in your customer default record, display when you initially access a customer's record. The Autofill Service flag must be selected in the customer default record. For details, refer to Miscellaneous Billing Profile and Customer Defaults.
The Service Details tab provides information on service payments, amounts due, and any adjustments that have been made.
Use the fields on the Defined Values tab to store additional information about the service. The labels for these fields are set up on the service record, and labels can differ for each service:
- If this service will be mass invoiced, enter up to five codes in the Character fields set up for the service to be used during mass invoice processing.
- The corresponding Date fields are for information only.
- The corresponding Decimal fields store the number of units for which the customer should be charged for this item.
Add Services to a Customer Record
- Enter criteria identifying the records to list, then click Find. To run an advanced search, click Advanced.
- Select the desired record, then click Details on the action bar.
- Choose Services.
- Click Add New.
- On the Service Details tab, complete the fields:
- Enter the Service code.
- Select the Status.
- Select the Penalty code to associate with the service.
- Select the Interest code to associate with the service.
- Enter the Start and End dates. Customers are not billed for services outside this date range.
- If applicable, complete the fields on the Defined Values tab.
- Click OK.
Change Customer Record Services
- Enter criteria identifying the records to list, then click Find. To run an advanced search, click Advanced.
- Select the desired record, then click Details on the action bar.
- Choose Services.
- Select the desired customer service in the List section, then click OK.
- Change fields as needed.
- Click OK.
Delete Services from a Customer Record
- Enter criteria identifying the records to list, then click Find. To run an advanced search, click Advanced.
- Select the desired record, then click Details on the action bar.
- Choose Services.
- Select the desired customer service in the List section, then click Delete.
- Click Yes.
