Departments

In Recruitment, department codes are used on job postings and during the applicant recommendation approval process. On a job posting, the Department field accepts codes from the Departments table. If an applicant is hired, the department defaults into the Applicant Recommendation e-Form as well as the Employee Information detail page in Human Resources. 

Additionally, the Department on a job posting can be used as a security control for access as determined by the Human Resources Profile and the security assigned to users. The Profile's Employee Security Zone field determines whether users' security access is checked by department, location, or neither.

The Departments Table report's default file name is departs.rpt. For the procedures for searching for, adding, updating, deleting, and printing table records, refer to Standard Reference Table Procedures.
