Employee Activity
Use this option to purge records in the Employee Activity (empact) table. This table maintains a history of additions, changes, and deletions of records in the Human Resources database. The data stored includes the original and new values, employee IDs and names, dates, tables and fields affected, and login IDs of the operators who made the entries.
Employee Activity records should be purged on a periodic basis to free up space in your database. However, you should retain these records for audit trail purposes for at least a year before deleting them.
The Employee Activity page enables you to select records by employee number, date changed, table name, and operator login ID. Generally, the Date Changed field is the page's most useful field, since it allows you to use the less than (<) symbol to specify records created before a particular date.
