Experience Types
Use this table to define codes for the different types of employment experiences that can be entered on applications. These codes are used by applicants in response to questions defined with the response type of Experience.
Menu Path: Human Resources > Reference Tables > Recruitment > Experience Types
When applicants select an Experience Type on an application, they will also enter the Years of Experience. Three Experience Type codes should be defined in this table: DIST for experience in the district, STAT for experience in the state, and OUT for experience out of state.
When an external applicant is hired for a job posting:
If the code DIST is selected, the value in the Years of Experience field will default into the Years Employed field of the Personnel Information page of the Pending Employee Record Center.
If the code STAT is selected, the value in the Years of Experience field will default into the Years in State and Years in Total fields of the Personnel Information page in the Pending Employee Record Center.
If the code OUT is selected, the value in the Years of Experience field will be added to the value in the Years of Experience for the Experience Type STAT and default into the Years in Total field of the Personnel Information page in the Pending Employee Record Center.
The default file name of the Experience Types Table report is exp_types.rpt. For the procedures for searching for, adding, updating, deleting, and printing table records, refer to Standard Reference Table Procedures.
