Payroll File Totals

Use this option to generate a summary report of the total taxes, deductions, and benefits processed in the current or most recent pay run.

Besides federal withholdings, the report provides an itemization of each state and locality for which taxes were collected. It also includes the month-to-date, quarter-to-date, fiscal-to-date, and year-to-date accruals for all categories.

The Payroll File Totals page does not include any fields to limit the report. The option generates totals for all taxes collected in the current year's accrual periods.

Menu Path:  Human Resources > Reports > Payroll > Payroll File Totals

Generating the Payroll File Totals report

  1. Select Human Resources > Reports > Payroll > Payroll File Totals.

  2. Click OK.

  3. In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is paysum1.rpt.
