Unemployment Insurance Data

Use this option to generate a report for calculating your organization's FUTA liability. The Unemployment Insurance Information report lists employees' names and Social Security numbers, weeks worked, gross quarterly salaries, and quarterly salaries subject to the FUTA maximum.

Menu Path

From the Human Resources menu, select Reports. From the Payroll menu, select Unemployment Insurance Data.

Generate the Unemployment Insurance Report

  1. On the Unemployment Insurance Report page, in the Report Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the records to include, and then click Accept. To run an advanced search, use the Advanced button.

  2. In the Additional Report Criteria Section, complete the desired fields, and then click Accept.

  3. In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is futa.rpt.

The Social Security field is only available for users with the proper security resources. In addition, the display of employees' Social Security numbers in the report is determined by the user's security and the SSN Masking Method selected in the Human Resources profile.

The fields in this section are standard to employee records and pay rates.

Description

Maximum Wages

Maximum gross wages subject to unemployment insurance premiums, as defined by your state. If an employee earns more than this, only the maximum value is used in calculations.

Quarter Beginning Date

Starting date of the quarter.

Quarter Ending Date

Ending date of the quarter, which is used with the beginning date to calculate the weeks in the quarter.
