EFIN-140505 | EAC - Modify Salary and Benefits - Tax Information to display new field for Opt for 1095 if District Configuration Opt for 1095 is Y | This enhancement enables districts to comply with the Paperwork Burden Reduction Act and Employer Reporting Improvement Act by allowing employees to opt-in to receive their 1095 forms (B or C) rather than automatically providing them to all employees. When a district chooses to take advantage of these new federal rules, they must post a clear notice that employees can request a copy of their 1095 form. The Employee Access Center (EAC) supports this by displaying a customizable disclaimer message on the Tax Information page, which can also be posted on the district's website. Employees visiting the Salary and Benefits - Tax Information page will see a new "Opt for 1095" field (when enabled by the district) where they can indicate whether they want to receive their 1095 form and choose between electronic or printed delivery. The existing "Printed 1095" field has been moved to a new storage location in the User Defined Window 31001 to support this functionality. Districts control whether employees see the opt-in field through a configuration setting in Human Resources - Periodic Routines - 1095 Maintenance, and can customize the disclaimer message to inform employees about their rights to request forms. This gives districts the flexibility to reduce paperwork burden while ensuring employees who need their 1095 forms can still receive them in their preferred format. | 2025 December End of Year |
