Termination Workflow
Termination Workflow Overview:
The Employee Termination Request workflow enables a school district to initiate employee terminations, manage the approval process, assign and track associated tasks, and notify internal staff about an employee’s termination.
Requesters can initiate termination from Employee Information or e-Forms & Tools.
Requesters can track the status of in-progress termination requests.
Termination tasks are assigned per workflow setup; assignees are notified and can mark tasks complete (e.g., exit interview, user ID disablement).
Multiple departments can work on termination tasks simultaneously.
HR and authorized users can view task status across departments.
Approval and task status are visible on dashboards and via email notifications.
Approvers can act on requests from both Employee Access Center (EAC) and the core system.
Delegation is supported on both the approval list and detail screens.
Post-approval notifications are sent to users not involved in the approval process.
Workflow Admins are notified when terminated employees or task actors remain assigned in approval roles, prompting cleanup.
After approval, active pay rate records are updated with correct Last Day Worked and Last Day to Pay values.
