Workflow Maintenance

Whenever a Fund Accounting, Purchasing, Human Resources, Vendor Access Center, Professional Development, or Recruitment workflow notification is sent, an entry is logged in a workflow log table which contains information for tracking workflow events. This includes entries that have been successfully completed, those where errors have occurred, and those where the workflow was never started or no current workflow exists. Over time, this table will become very large. The options in the Workflow Maintenance menu allow you to:

  • Review the state of a particular workflow.
  • Delete entries from the workflow log table.
  • Cancel workflow notifications that, due to errors, are still being sent, even though the action for the workflow has been completed.
  • For Employee Leave Requests only, flag a request as needing correction, so the employee can resubmit the request without having to re-enter the information.
