Change Activity Records
Use the Activity page to update an activity record for a selected employee. You access this page by selecting an activity in the Personnel Activity Tracker page.
You can attach documents to an employee's Activity record by clicking View Attachments on the toolbar. For information, refer to Attachments Page.
Menu Path
From the Human Resources menu, select Entry & Processing. From the Activity Tracker menu, select Track Activities.
Update an Activity Record
As an alternative to Step 1, you can access the Activity page from an employee's Employee Information page by clicking Personnel Information on the page's Action Bar and then selecting Activity Tracker.
On the Personnel Activity Tracker page, in the Search Criteria section, enter criteria, and then click Find to display a list of employees who have existing activity records. To run an advanced search, click the Advanced button.
In the Personnel Activity Tracker page List section, select the employee whose record you want to update, and then click OK to display the employee's Activity page.
In the Activity page List section, select the activity you want to update, and then click OK.
In the Situation Type field, you usually should accept the default, though you may select another code.
Update the remaining fields in the Activity Information and Activity Detail sections.
Click OK to save the record.
Fields and Descriptions
Activity Information Section
Field | Description |
---|---|
Employee Number | Employee's identification number. |
Situation Type | The activity's Situation Type code. If needed, select another code from the Situation Type table to identify a different activity. |
Start Date (required) | Displays either the date the activity began or the date the record was added. |
Stop Date | Enter the date the activity ended. If the activity does not have an end date, leave the field blank. The Start Date and Stop Date may be the same, for example, in a Leave Without Pay record where the employee was absent for one day. |
Description (recommended) | Brief description of the activity. You may change the description if needed. The limit is 25 characters. |
Activity Detail Section
Lists fields are associated with the Situation Type selected. The system displays a message with each field regarding the type of data that can be entered.
