Contracts or Job Skills/Other Interests Page

Use this page to enter the employee's specialized skills and interests other than what is required for primary job responsibilities.

The page includes the following optional sections:

Contract Type

Allows you to assign contracts to an employee.

Job Skills

Allows you to add the skills. The skills may include fluency in a second language, computer proficiency, or CPR certification.

Other Interests/Preferences

Allows you to add employee's interests/preferences unrelated to the regular job assignments.

In a school district, the interests/preferences may relate to the positions such as yearbook advisor, assistant coach, or curriculum chairperson.

In a municipality, use this section to add hobbies, sports, and community activities.

Contract Type

Select the contract type. For details, refer to Contract Types.

Job Skills

Select a job skill code. These skills must be other than what is required for the primary job assignments. The values in this field are retrieved from the Job Skills table. You can add up to five job skills.

Other Interests Or Preferences

Select an interest/preference code. You can add up to six interests/preferences. The values in this field are retrieved from the Other Interests table.

In school districts, the codes indicate the employee's preferences for faculty and extracurricular assignments.

In other cases, you can add hobbies, community activities, and other outside interests.
