Crosswalk Table

The Crosswalk table is used to convert deduction codes. If your organization wants to convert deduction codes from a third-party software, a user will need to create records in the crosswalk table to convert them. When converting, keep the following in mind:

  • The User-Defined Code table previously used by the Benefits Interface program to convert third-party codes to PowerSchool ERP deduction codes is no longer used. If your organization is updating from a prior version, you will need to create records in the new Crosswalk table.

  • Multiple third-party codes can be mapped to the same PowerSchool ERP deduction codes.

  • The new Crosswalk table for deduction codes uses only one field in the import file to convert codes. In prior versions, the program used a three-field value (deduction codes, deduction frequency, and deduction type). With this modification, your organization may need to contact your third-party provider to request this change to a single field. For example, the previous three-field format would be: 123, S, EO (deduction code, frequency, type). The new format would be 1234SEO.

Menu Path:  Human Resources > Periodic Routines > Periodic Processing > Benefits Interface select Data Crosswalk

Adding a record

  1. Select Human Resources > Periodic Routines > Periodic Processing > Benefits Interface and then click Data Crosswalk to display the Crosswalk Table page.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. In the Crosswalk Data section, complete the fields as needed. For details, refer to the Fields section below.

  4. Click OK.
    If the Continuous checkbox is selected, the fields in the Crosswalk Data section will display the next record from the List section. Click Back to return to the Search Criteria section.

Updating a record

  1. Select Human Resources > Periodic Routines > Periodic Processing > Benefits Interface and then click Data Crosswalk to display the Crosswalk Table page.

  2. In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the records to list, and then click Find.

  3. In the List section, select the desired record and then click OK.

  4. In the Crosswalk Data section, update the New Code with a selection from the dropdown.
    The Old Code field is display only and cannot be updated.

  5. Click OK to save record.
    If the Continuous checkbox is selected, the fields in the Crosswalk Data section will display the next record from the List section. Click Back to return to the Search Criteria section.

Deleting a record

  1. Select Human Resources > Periodic Routines > Periodic Processing > Benefits Interface and then click Data Crosswalk to display the Crosswalk Table page.

  2. In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the records to list, and then click Find.

  3. In the List section, select the desired record and then click Delete.

  4. In the Confirmation dialog, click Yes to delete the record.
