Previous Positions Page

Use this page to enter the last five positions from the applicant's employment history, including the names of the employers. You can also display an additional page to provide more information on a position.

After completing the page, click Next to display the Certifications page. You can also click Finish at any time to save the record and exit the wizard.

Displays the Previous Position Information page for recording additional details on each position entered.

Previous Positions Page

You can list up to five positions from the applicant’s employment history.

Field

Description

Position

Job title for each position. You may abbreviate the titles as needed. If desired, you may use codes from the Job Class or Position table that equate with the positions reported. Character/10

Employer

Name of the employer for each position. Character/25

Previous Position Information Page

Use this page to store additional information on each position entered in the Previous Positions page. To display the page, identify a position and employer, and then click More Information.

Field

Description

Employer

Employer’s name, which defaults from the Previous Positions page. If needed, you may change the name displayed without affecting the entry in the other page. Character/25

Address

Two lines, the first for the employer’s street address and the second for the city, state abbreviation, and zip code. Character/25 each line

Reference

Name of a reference or contact person, as provided by the applicant. Character/25

Phone

Telephone number of the reference, including area code. The system provides the necessary dashes.

Start Salary

Beginning salary for this position.

End Salary

Last salary received for this position. If the applicant still holds the position, enter the current salary instead, even if it equals the start salary.

Start Date

Start date for either the position or salary range, depending on your procedures.

End Date

Last date of employment in the position. If the applicant still holds the position, leave the field blank.

Leave Reason

Reason for leaving the position, as indicated by the applicant. If the applicant still holds the position, leave the field blank, or enter CURRENT POSITION. Character/30
