Restart 1099-R Printing

Use this option to resume printing your 1099-R forms if you need to stop a print job before all of the forms are complete.

Menu path

From the Human Resources menu, select Periodic Routines. From the Year End menu, select 1099-R Processing. Click Print 1099-R Forms, then click Restart 1099-R Printing.

Resume a 1099-R form print job

  1. Check the printer to make sure your forms are still aligned properly.

  2. On the Restart 1099-R Printing page, in the Print Criteria section, enter the same data in the fields that was entered for the original print job.

  3. Click Accept.

  4. In the Pay Groups section, enter codes identifying the pay groups set up for 1099-R employees. Enter the same pay groups that were entered for the original print job.

  5. Click Accept.

  6. In the Restart section, in the Last Good Employee Number field, enter the ID of the last employee whose form printed correctly. The system will resume printing with the next employee in the workfile.

  7. Click Accept.

  8. In the Print page:

    • To print the forms, click OK.

    • To store your data to print later, select the File radio button, enter a file name to replace the default (pt1099r.rpt), and then click OK. If you are saving individual batches, enter a unique name for each to avoid overwriting any files.

  9. Click Back.
