Tax Tabs
The employee Payroll page includes tabs related to tax exemptions and withholdings: Federal, State, and Local.
The Federal, State, and Local tabs all include Exempt Status, Marital Status, Dependents, and Extra Withholding fields.
The Federal tab has additional fields for non-resident alien identifier, W4 submission date, other income, deductions, annual tax credit, pay periods per year, and W4 Lock-in information.
The State and Local tabs have an extra field for identifying the state or municipality that collects the taxes.
Information entered in a tax tab determines whether an employee is subject to taxes. If so, the additional information identifies the specific tax table that applies in calculating the employee tax withholdings.
Fields and descriptions
Refer to Employee Tax Information page for details on the fields. The layout is slightly different but the same fields are available to enter for a pending employee or edit for an existing employee record.
A pending employee record does not have attachments.
