Employee Pay Rates

The Pay Rates page and its supplementary pages enable you to enter complete rate information for an employee. The system references these records during payroll processing to calculate the employee's gross pay.

A pay rate record includes the following data:

  • Job Class

  • Pay Code

  • Pay Group

  • Status

  • Calendar

  • Start and End Dates

  • Pay Start and Pay End Dates

  • Days Worked

  • Pay Cycle

  • Pay Method

  • Salary Schedule

  • Range and Step

  • Hours per Day

  • Pays per Year

  • FTE

  • Hours per Period

  • Pay Rate

  • Docking Rate, Arrears, and Pays

  • Annual Salary

  • Contract Information

  • Distributions

Action Buttons

The action button in the Pay Rates page's Additional Action sections enables you to access an additional page while setting up an employee's rates.

Rate Window

Displays the Additional Rates page, where you can enter rates for additional duty pay, but only for the employee's primary rate.

This type of pay applies to assignments employees perform regularly that are not part of their normal responsibilities and are not covered by other rates.
