Standard Time Load
Select this option from the Time Loading Options drop-down list in the Load Employee Time page to load timecards for employees' regular pay. You can run the load multiple times. However, if the system finds a timecard already exists for an employee/job class combination, the option will not create another timecard for the same employee/job class.
Caution
When using the Standard Time Load option, keep in mind the following:
If you intend to use the Summer Time Load option, you do not need to run the Standard Time Load.
If you want to use the Short Time Load option, run it before selecting the Standard Time Load option.
If you intend to run the Retro Pay Load and Standard Time Load options in the same payrun, you must run the Standard Time Load option first.
Loading employees' timecards for a regular pay period
Click Load Employee Time in the Pay Run Processing page to display the Load Employee Time page.
If you are using the Payroll wizard, the Load Employee Time page displays when you complete the Clear Balances process.Review the fields in the Pay Run Setup Information section.
If any field values are incorrect, use the following page to change them: Pay Run Setup - Step 2.From the Time Loading Options drop-down list, select the Standard Time Load option.
Click Load.
In the Print window, enter settings for generating the Load Timecards - Error Log. The log's default file name is load.log.
Important
If you intend to run other Time Loading options, you should enter a different file name for each error log.Click OK to load the timecards.
When the load is complete, a message displays indicating how many timecards were loaded.
If errors prevent some timecards from loading, a warning message displays. Click OK.
If errors are detected, review the Load Timecards - Error Log, which lists the employees affected. To pay these employees, you need to correct the errors indicated.
After making the necessary corrections, run the Standard Time Load option again. Be sure to reload the timecards for the same employees.Select another option in the Time Loading Options field as needed.
If you are not processing short pay, summer pay, or retroactive pay, click Next to display the Edit Employee Time page.
Fields
Field | Description |

Pay Group | Pay groups assigned in employee's Pay Rate Information pages. Timecards load for all employees in these groups. An asterisk indicates all pay groups will load. |
Default Hours | Default hours override pay hours from employees' Pay Rate Information pages, though the two are usually the same. If this field is set to zero, the pay rate hours apply. |
Start Date | Date the pay period starts for a group. |
End Date | Date the pay period ends for a group. |
Default Start Date | Default start date for timecards entered for employees who are not in the pay groups specified. |
Default End Date | Default end date for timecards entered for employees who are not in the pay groups specified. |
