Configure Advanced Workflow
You need to configure settings before you use Advanced Workflow.
Consult with your account manager or system administrator for proper configuration.
Workflow Configuration Profile
Complete Workflow Configuration for Advanced Workflows. After the Workflow Configuration Profile is updated to determine which advanced workflows your district will use, proceed to Workflow Setup.
Workflow Setup
Use the tabs on the Workflow Setup page to determine how processes will flow between submitters and approvers. Notification templates and rules are configured on the Tibco site.
Menu Path
From the System Administration menu, select Workflow. From the Workflow menu, select Workflow Setup.
It is recommended to set up Roles, then Groups, then link them in Applications.
Workflow Roles are user types for a district or building. They can have multiple employees assigned and can be assigned to multiple Groups.
Workflow Groups are a collection of user types (Workflow Roles) created to perform a defined function in the district or building. Workflow Groups may use User Views to determine which users are engaged in a process.
Workflow Applications are defined rules associated with linking Workflow Groups to Workflow Roles. They define how requests and approvals are sent to employees. On the Workflow Applications tab you can display the approval levels for a process and select a level to link Workflow Groups and Workflow Roles.
