Future Pay Rates page

Use the Future Pay Rates page to enter, edit, and review employee future pay rate changes without impacting current payroll.
Menu path
From the Human Resources menu, select Periodic Routines. From the Future Positions and Pay Rates menu, select Future Pay Rates.
Load current pay rates
For current active employees, use the Employee Pay Rates page to load pay rate records into the Future Pay Rates page in bulk, reducing the need to manually copy or enter data. After you load from current pay rates, the records are available on the Future Pay Rates page.
Add a future pay rate
On the Future Pay Rates page, select Add new.
Enter the Employee number. Use the lookup if needed.
To use default pay rate information based on the current primary pay rate or an existing future primary pay rate with the same or earlier effective date, select Add Using Default Pay Rate Information. Otherwise, leave it blank.
Enter an Effective Date for the future pay rate. The Effective Date should be between the last pay run using the old rate and the first pay run to be calculated with the new rate. There is a warning if you enter a date later than the next fiscal year, based on the system date.
Fill out at least the required fields. The page the same as a current pay rate page, with two additional fields for the Effective Date and a Control Number. Some information may be populated if you selected to use default pay information.
If one or more future primary pay rates exist with different effective dates, and you add a new future pay rate and select Add Using Default Pay Rate Information, the defaults are pulled from the closest effective date that occurs before the effective date on the new future pay rate.
Edit future pay rates
You can search for records to make edits. The page is the same as an active pay rate, with additional fields used in the post process: Effective Date and Control Number.
To adjust salaries, use Update Future Pay Rates.
On the Future Pay Rates page, enter Search Criteria, and then select Search, or perform an Advanced Search.
Select a pay rate from the list, and then select Accept.
Edit the fields as needed. If you selected Display Current Pay Rates in your search for a comparison, you cannot edit a current pay rate on this page.
Select Accept.
Print future pay rates
You can print future pay rates to Excel any time that you want to review the pay rates.
On the Future Pay Rates page, enter Search Criteria, and then select Search, or perform an Advanced Search.
Leave Search Criteria blank to return all future pay rates.
Select Include Terminated Employees to identify if future pay rates have been loaded or added for terminated employees.
Select Display Current Pay Rates to include current pay rates in search results. This allows you to compare current and future pay rates for employees.
From the toolbar, select Print.
The report prints directly to Excel. The default file name is FuturePayrateList.xlsx.
Delete future pay rates
Pay rates marked Current cannot be deleted on this page.
On the Future Pay Rates page, enter Search Criteria, and then select Search, or perform an Advanced Search.
Select one or more pay rates from the list.
Select Delete.
Select Yes.
