Posting Requisition Overview Page

This section will outline the Posting Requisition Overview option, which is used by hiring managers to request, view, edit, copy, or delete a job posting. Hiring managers can also view information on applicants who have a applied for a job posting, disposition applicants who will not be hired, request an interview to be scheduled, update interview information, and recommend an applicant for hire.

In the Posting Requisition Overview page, hiring managers can:

  • View existing job postings.

  • Display the Posting Requisition page for adding, copying and editing job postings. For the procedures, refer to Posting Requisition Page.

  • Delete job postings.

  • Access the Posting Review page to review applications, disposition applicants, email applicants, and print applications. For the procedures, refer to Posting Review Page.

The postings listed for a hiring manager depend on their security resources, as well as on the Human Resources Security Zone settings in the Human Resources Profile.

Menu Path

From the Human Resources menu, select Entry & Processing. From the Recruitment menu, select Posting Requisition Overview.

Filter and Sort Job Postings

  1. On the Posting Requisition Overview page, select the job postings to display by selecting the appropriate checkboxes in the Filters section at the top of the page. To display all postings, select all boxes, or leave all boxes blank.
    The list refreshes each time you select or clear a box.

  2. To re-sort the list, click the heading at the top of the column for the criteria you want to sort by. Clicking the same heading again reverses the order. You cannot sort by the last five columns.

Delete Job Postings

  1. On the Posting Requisition Overview page, select the job postings to display by selecting the appropriate checkboxes in the Filters section at the top of the page.

  2. For the posting you want to delete, click the Delete icon in the posting's Delete field. For details on this field, refer to the Fields section.

  3. In the Delete Confirmation dialog, click Yes.

Filters Section

You can filter the job postings that display using the following checkboxes. To display all postings, select all boxes, or leave the boxes blank.

Field

Description

New

The job posting has been entered and saved, but not submitted. This is also the status of a job posting that has been marked as needing correction by an approver.

Request

The job posting has been saved and submitted. The workflow for the job posting approval has been initiated.

Posted

All approvals for the job posting have been completed. The job posting will appear on the Recruitment Profile for applicants to apply if the current date is on or after the posting date and on or before the closing date.

Filled

Applicants have filled all positions for the job posting.

Canceled

The job posting was posted, but was canceled by a member of the Human Resources staff.

Rejected

The job posting was denied in the approval process.

Job Postings Section

Following are the fields in this section, each of which is identified by the heading at the top of the columns. You can sort the listing by clicking any of the headings from Posting ID through Closing Date. The last five headings cannot be used for sorting.

Field

Description

Posting ID

System-generated number used to identify the job posting throughout Recruitment.

Status

Status of the job posting. A job posting can have a status of New, Request, Posted, Filled, Canceled, or Rejected.

Location

Code identifying the position's location, as defined in Personnel's Locations table.

Position Title

Title of the job posting's position.

Position Type

Code identifying the position type associated with the job class, as defined in Payroll's Position Types table.

Job Class

Job class assigned to the position, as defined in Payroll's Job Class table.

Position

Position assigned to the job class, as defined in the Position Control table. This field only applies if you are using Position Control and the selected job class is under Position Control.

Fiscal Year

Fiscal year associated with the job posting. This can be either the current or next fiscal year.

Posting Date

Date that the job opening was posted to the portal.

Closing Date

Last date that applicants can apply for the position.

Displays the total number of applicants over the total number of qualified applicants. Qualifying applicants is based on certifications, provided your organization is tracking highly qualified applicants and the Certified Position checkbox in Payroll's Position Types table in Human Resources is selected.

Edit

Click the Pencil icon in this column to display the Posting Requisition page for the selected posting. You will be able to edit the posting's fields, depending on its status.

Copy

Click the Copy icon in this column to display a new Posting Requisition page with information defaulting from the selected posting. You can then edit the posting to create a new one.

Delete

Click the Delete in this column to delete the posting. This option will be available if the status of the job posting is New, Request, or Rejected. If the job posting has a status of Posted, it cannot be deleted. A Human Resources staff member will have to cancel the posting instead.

View Pool

Click the icon in this column to view all the applicants that have applied to the job posting and have had all their verifications completed.
