View Postings Menu Options

The Recruitment Portal's View Postings menu is used by applicants to review and apply for job postings. Depending on the link selected, the postings may be grouped by Position Type or Location, but the fields shown will be same. Applicants may also have the ability to sort by various fields to display the postings in the way most convenient to them.

  • If the applicant is an external employee or applicant, they will be able to view postings with a Publish Type of Internal/External or External, provided the current date falls on or after the Posting Date and on or before the Closing Date for the job posting.

  • If the applicant is an internal applicant, they will be able to view postings with a Publish Type of Internal/External or Internal, provided the current date falls on or after the Posting Date and on or before the Closing Date for the job posting.

To access the menu options, the applicant will click the link in the View Postings menu which corresponds to the page they want to view. From the View Postings page, the applicant can click the link in the Posting ID column to display the Posting Detail Page, which provides detailed information on the posting. For more information on this page, refer to the next section, Posting Details Page.

The applicant can also click the icon in the Apply column to apply for the posting. For full procedures an external or internal applicant will follow to apply for a job posting, refer to Applying for a Job Posting (External Applicant) or Applying for a Job Posting (Internal Applicant).

View Postings Pages

Applicants can display the following pages by clicking the corresponding links on the View Postings menu:

New Postings

Displays a list of all new job postings for your organization based on the values entered in the Max. Postings Displayed and Days Old Postings fields of the Online Presentation & Options page in the Recruitment Portal Configuration.

By Title

Displays a list of all open job postings for your organization, with a default sort by Position Title.

By Position Type

Displays a list of all open job postings for your organization, with a default sort by Position Type.

By Location

Displays a list of all open job postings for your organization, with a default sort by Location.

Fields

Following are descriptions of the fields on the pages accessed by the View Postings menu options. The fields that display depend on the menu option selected.

Field

Description

Posting ID

System-generated posting identification number. Select this link to view detailed information about the job posting.

Position Title

Title of the position for the job posting.

Position Type

Type of position for the job posting. This field may contain a drop-down list which allows the applicant to select a specific position type.

Location

Location of the position for the job posting. This field may contain a drop-down list which allows the applicant to select a specific location.

Posted

Date the job posting became available for applicants to apply to on the Recruitment Portal.

Open Until

Last day the job posting is available for applicants to apply to on the Portal.

Fiscal Year

The fiscal year for the job posting. This field contains a drop-down list which allows the applicant to select a specific year.

Positions

Number of positions available for the job posting.

Apply

Link to begin application for the job posting.
