SSN/Federal ID Masking added for W-2, W-2C, 1099, and ACA Forms |
Social Security Number and Federal ID masking enhancements have been added across Year-End and ACA workflows to improve privacy controls and support compliant printing behavior based on form copy type. New SSN and Payee Federal ID Masking Method parameters allow payroll administrators to control whether Social Security Numbers and Payee Federal IDs are masked (XXX-XX-9999) or displayed in full on employee/payee copies of tax forms. This supports IRS regulations permitting voluntary truncation of Social Security Numbers on recipient copies while preserving full visibility on government/employer filing copies. What is new
