Bid Type Table

Use this table to create records for classifying the types of bids used at your site. Examples of bid types might include Call for Proposal, Request for Quote, and Request for Bid. The specifics depend on the bids you seek, as well as the terminology you use

The codes identifying bid types are usually taken from the initials of the terms that apply, although you also can use numbers. These codes are useful in searching for certain types of bids and generating reports. For example, if you want a Vendor Bidding report to include only Request for Bid records, you would enter RFB (for Request for Bid) as search criteria in the report page's Bid Type field.

You also can generate the Bid Type Table report from this page using the toolbar's Print item. The report's default name is bidtype.rpt.
