Recruitment Processing Options

Recruitment uses the options on the Entry & Processing menu in Human Resources to administer most phases of the hiring process. In addition, the Entry & Processing menu includes the Position Control option for tying together the job classes and positions referenced by Recruitment's position types. This section provides a brief overview of the two types of processing options.

Recruitment Processing Options

Menu Path:  Human Resources > Entry & Processing > Recruitment > select an option

Recruitment uses the following options on the Entry & Processing menu in Human Resources:

Applicant Overview

Enables Human Resources staff members to perform the following functions:

  • Add, update, and delete applicant information.

  • Maintain application, interview, and disposition information.

  • Recommend an applicant for hire.

  • Initiate the applicant recommendation e-Form. Complete items on pre-employment and employment checklists.

Applicant Search

Enables hiring managers and Human Resources staff members to search for applicants based on selected criteria and copy applications from one job posting to another.

Application Question Setup

Enables users to add, update, and delete the standard and question bank questions associated with job postings.

Create Employees

Enables Human Resources staff members to complete the hiring process for applicants where the applicant recommendation e-Form failed to create the employee record.

eEmployment Question Setup

Enables users to add, update, and delete questions that will appear on the eEmployment questionnaire. The questionnaires are sent to previous employers when an applicant submits an application and a Human Resource staff member initiates the questionnaire.

eReference Question Setup

Enables users to add, update, and delete questions that will appear on the eReference questionnaire sent to applicants' references.

Posting Approval

Enables Human Resources staff members to approve job postings that were added in Recruitment and submitted for approval.

Posting Overview

Enables Human Resources staff members to add, update, delete, and cancel job postings and also, to review the applicants who have applied to the postings.

Posting Requisition Overview

Enables hiring managers to add, update, and delete job postings for their departments and location. They can also access the pool of applicants who have applied to the postings.

Update Postings For New Year

Enables Human Resources staff members to move open postings into the new fiscal year.

Verification Overview

Enables Human Resources staff members to complete additional verifications for all application questions that are defined with an HR verification level.

Position Control Processing Option

Menu Path:  Human Resources > Entry & Processing > Position Control > Position Control

The following option only applies in Recruitment if your organization uses the Position Control system:

Position Control

Enables users to add, update, and delete job class/position records and associate them with the position types used in Recruitment on job postings.
