Position Detail page - FTE section

The FTE section on the Position Detail page provides a real-time snapshot of the position's Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) capacity and occupancy status. It allows staff to monitor how much of the position's authorized FTE is currently filled, how much remains available, and what staffing changes are pending approval or in progress.

The following table describes the fields in the FTE section of the Position Detail page.

Field	Description	Data source and Valid values
Authorized FTE	The total FTE approved for the position. This value represents the staffing cap and is set when the position is created. This field is editable if either of the following conditions is true: Position Status = N - In Progress Approval Status = C - Needs Correction The value is updated when an Adjust FTE or Transfer FTE change request is approved on the Position Change Request page.	The field value is retrieved from the Authorized FTE field on the Update Position Information page.
Default FTE	The standard FTE value applied automatically when a new occupant is assigned to the position. This value can be zero but cannot exceed 1.0. It cannot be negative. This field is editable if either of the following conditions is true: Position Status = N - In Progress Approval Status = C - Needs Correction The value can be updated through a Default FTE Change request on the Position Change Request page.	The field value is retrieved from the Default FTE field on the Update Position Information page.
Filled FTE	The FTE currently occupied by employees actively assigned to the position. This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The field value is calculated by the system from current employee occupant records. Approved Employee Position Transfers also contribute to the Filled FTE for the TO position when the transfer effective date is on or before the current date. The FTE per occupant is entered in the FTE field in the New Position section of the Employee Position Transfer page.
Available FTE	The FTE remaining to be filled, calculated as Authorized FTE minus Filled FTE minus any pending occupancy changes. This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The system calculates the field value as Authorized FTE minus Filled FTE minus pending FTE changes.
Pending Adjustment FTE	The FTE amount from submitted but unapproved or unapplied FTE change requests. This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The field value is calculated from pending Adjust FTE and Transfer FTE change requests that have not yet been approved. The adjustment amount is based on Position Change Request Adjustment and Transfer.
Pending Vacancy FTE	The FTE that will become vacant when pending employee departures or position transfers are approved and take effect. This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The field value is calculated from future pay rates, live pay rates with end dates, and Employee Position Transfers. Employee Position Transfers with a status of O - Open or A - Approved contribute to the Pending Vacancy FTE for the FROM position when the EPT effective date has not yet been reached. Transfers with a status of D - Denied, N - Canceled, or X - Posted are excluded from the calculation.
Pending Filled FTE	The FTE that will be occupied when pending employee assignments or position transfers are approved and take effect. This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The field value is calculated from future pay rates, live pay rates with end dates, and Employee Position Transfers. Employee Position Transfers with a status of O - Open or A - Approved contribute to the Pending Filled FTE for the TO position when the EPT effective date has not yet been reached. Transfers with a status of D - Denied, N - Canceled, or X - Posted are excluded from the calculation.
Posted FTE	The FTE from position requisitions sent to the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This field is not displayed when Position Status = N - In Progress, or Approval Status = C - Needs Correction. This field is view-only and is displayed for the following statuses: Position Statuses: A - Active C - Closed I - Inactive Approval Statuses: A - Approved D - Denied N - Canceled O - Open	The field value is populated from position requisitions sent to the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
