Position Detail page - Salary section

The Salary section on the Position Detail page provides a read-only financial summary of the position's salary status. It allows staff to compare the planned budget against actual and projected payroll costs, providing a quick view of how the position's salary expenditure aligns with the budget.

Together, these three values let staff assess whether the position is running over or under its budget:

  • Budgeted Salary represents the planned cost for the position.

  • Actual Salary reflects what has been paid in practice through payroll.

  • Projected Salary indicates the position's annual cost based on the current occupants' pay rates.

All three fields are read-only and serve a monitoring and review purpose rather than data entry. Users who need to update the budgeted salary must do so either on the Position Control page when creating or adjusting the position, or through Personnel Budgeting.

The following table describes the fields in the Salary section of the Position Detail page.
