Budget Tracking Report

Use the Position Budget Tracking Report page to review and compare the three salary amounts recorded against each authorized position in the current fiscal year.

The Budget Tracking report provides budget amounts by position.

To run this report, users must be assigned the security resource 360.

From the Human Resources menu, select Reports. From the Position Control menu, select Budget Tracking.

  • On the Position Budget Tracking Report page, refer to the Field descriptions and enter or select the Report Criteria.

  • Select Sort to change the report's sort order, then select Accept.

  • Select Accept.

  • Select a Destination:

    • Select PDF to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is posnBudgetTracking<YYYY-MM-DD####_####>.pdf.

    • Select Excel to download the report in .xlsx format. Select the required Excel Options. The default file name is posnBudgetTrackingReportrpt<####_#####>.xlsx.

      • Select OK.

        • Save the .pdf or .xlsx file.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the Position Budget Tracking Report page.

Field

Description

Job Class

Limits the report to positions belonging to the selected job class.

The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the live or Future Job Classes reference table. This is limited to job classes already under Position Control.

Position

Limits the report to a specific position code.

Location

Limits the report to positions assigned to the selected location.

The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the Location Table page.

Position Type

Limits the report to positions of the selected type.

The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the Position Type page.

Position Status

Filters by position status.

Valid values:

  • A – Active

  • C – Closed

  • I – Inactive

  • N – In Progress

User Defined Fields (1–10)

Up to 10 district-configured fields displayed when user-defined fields are enabled.

Advanced Search button

Opens an advanced search dialog to build additional filter criteria beyond the standard fields.

Include User Defined Fields in PDF Report

Indicates whether to include user-defined field values in the PDF report output.

When this option is selected, the User Defined Field checkboxes are displayed.

User Defined Field checkboxes (1–10)

Individual checkboxes to control which user-defined fields are included in the PDF report.

These checkboxes are displayed when the Include User Defined Fields in PDF Report option is selected.
