Copy Journal Entry Caused Out of Balance to Occur

When users performed a Copy Journal Entry (Copy JE) action and selected a period other than the current period assigned in the Fund Accounting profile, it was causing Out of Balance issues. This has been resolved.

Post Next Year Purchase Orders Caused Out of Balance to Occur

When Next Year Purchase Orders were posted, the General Ledger Audit Trail report contained out-of-balance messaging because the purchase orders were created in period 1 of the new year, but the General Ledger balance for Reserve for Encumbrance and Encumbrance Control was updated in the period on the Fund Accounting profile. This has been corrected.

  • If you haven’t yet posted Next Year Purchase Orders, ensure this release is installed before you post.

  • If you have already posted Next Year Purchase Orders, PowerSchool support may need to assist you with correcting the out-of-balance. To determine whether you are out of balance, run the General Ledger Audit Trail for period 1 of 2024 (the new year). Create a support case if the report shows an out-of-balance for Reserve for Encumbrance and Encumbrance Control.
