Cannot transfer from this position, another Employee Position Transfer exists |
An Employee Position Transfer with a status of O - Open, C - Needs Correction, or A - Approved already exists for this employee and FROM position. Only one active transfer from the same position is allowed at a time. To resolve: review the existing transfer in the Employee Position Transfer list. If the existing transfer is no longer needed, cancel it, then create the new transfer. If the existing transfer should be continued, edit it instead of creating a new one. |

FTE and working status validation
The system's behavior when the TO position FTE exceeds the available FTE depends on the Position Control field on the Human Resources Profile page. When Y - Use Position Control is selected, the system displays a blocking error, and the user must correct the FTE before continuing. When T - Tracking Mode is selected, the system displays a warning that the user can acknowledge and continue past.
The following table lists the FTE and working status validation error messages that may appear when using Position Control 25.7 and explains how to resolve them.

|
Warning: Transfer will exceed the Available FTE on the TO position. |
This warning appears when the Position Control setting is T, and the TO position FTE entered exceeds the position's available FTE as of the New Position Start Date. Select OK to acknowledge the warning and continue with the transfer, or reduce the TO position FTE to stay within the available FTE. If your district uses Full Position Control (Y), the system displays a blocking error instead of this warning. |
|
Warning - Maximum occupancy of position exceeded on [date]. |
This warning appears when the Position Control setting is T and a future position control record would cause the TO position FTE to exceed the authorized FTE on the date shown. Select OK to acknowledge the warning and continue, or reduce the TO position FTE to avoid the future overfill condition. Contact your system administrator to review the authorized FTE for the position on the date shown if this condition is unexpected. |
|
Available FTE on the TO position is exceeded |
The TO position FTE entered exceeds the position's available FTE as of the New Position Start Date. Reduce the New Position FTE or contact your system administrator to increase the authorized FTE on the TO position. This error appears when the Position Control setting is Y (Full). |
|
Error - Maximum occupancy of position exceeded on [date]. The employee cannot be assigned to this position. |
A future position control record would cause the TO position FTE to exceed the authorized FTE on the date shown. Reduce the New Position FTE or have your system administrator increase the authorized FTE on the TO position for that date. This error appears when the Position Control setting is Y (Full). |
