Before configuring Position Control 25.7, the following Human Resources prerequisites must be in place.

To track cumulative salaries, select the Track Position Salary option on the Payroll tab of the Pay Codes page.

Ensure that locations are set up on the Location Table page.

Ensure that position types are set up on the Position Types page.

Ensure that Calendar Cycles are set up. For more information, refer to Set up Calendar Cycles.

To track Highly Qualified Teachers, verify that the Personnel Tables used for Highly Qualified Teacher records are set up in Human Resources. This is optional. Highly Qualified Teacher tracking was required under NCLB, which was replaced by ESSA in December 2015. Districts are no longer required by federal law to track or report HQT status. This functionality is retained for districts that have state-level mandates or internal policies requiring HQT recordkeeping.
