Viewing Full Commodity Descriptions

Use the Full Commodity Description item on the Bid Catalog Information page's Action Bar to view the full description of a selected commodity. Clicking the item displays the Commodity Description page, which lists the commodity's code and a description of up to five lines. The first line of the description displays in Vendor Bidding's pages and reports to identify commodities and is also used to sort records in Vendor Bidding reports.

The Commodity Description page can also be accessed using the Full Commodity Description item in the Quick Request Entry Page and Award Vendor Bid Page.

Menu Path:  Menu Path:  Vendor Bidding > Entry & Processing > Bid Information > Bid Catalog Information > search for and select a bid > click Full Commodity Description on the Action Bar

Viewing a commodity's full description

1. Select Vendor Bidding > Entry & Processing > Bid Information > Bid Catalog Information to display the Bid Catalog Information page.
2. In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the bids to list, and then click Find.
3. In the List section, select the bid containing the commodity with the description you want to view.
4. Click OK to display the bid's commodities in the Detail section.
5. Select the commodity, and then click Full Commodity Description on the Action Bar to display the Commodity Description page.
6. After reviewing the description, click OK to close the page.
