Use this page to increase or decrease pay rates for employees/positions in non-scheduled job classes and bargaining units.
Important
Save your work file as an iteration before running this option. If the mass update produces undesired results, you can use the iteration to restore your original values. For details, refer to Load Position Budget Iteration Page.

Entering Mass Updates
The following rules apply to using the Mass Update of Rate Increases page:

You can apply increases and decreases to pay rates with H - Hourly, D - Daily, and P - Pay Period pay methods.

You cannot mass update salary scheduled job classes and bargaining units (S - Range/Step Rate and R - Range/Step Per Period pay methods).

You cannot mass update pay rate information for vacant positions.

You can use percentages to enter budget increases or decreases for the current year.

You can use percentages, amounts, or a combination of the two to enter increases or decreases for the budget year.
Entering mass increases for nonscheduled employees Or positions

Select Personnel Budgeting > Entry & Processing > Personnel Budgeting > Employee Rate Information to display the Employee Rate Information page.

Click Mass Increase Update on the Action Bar to display the Mass Update of Rate Increases page.

In the Selection Criteria section, identify employees/positions via their job classes and bargaining units.
To access rates for all non scheduled employees/positions, leave the Job Class and Bargaining Unit fields blank. -
In the Rate Increase Update Values section, enter increases as a positive amount or percentage and decreases as a negative amount or percentage. For more information on these fields, refer to the Fields section below.
Tip
Keep a written log of your entries in these fields, so you can verify the changes made.

Click OK.

In the Confirmation dialog, click Yes.

Click OK when processing is complete.

To apply increases to other classes and bargaining units, repeat Steps 37. Otherwise, click Back to return to the Employee Rate Information page.
Fields
Selection Criteria Section
You can select multiple records in the following fields by inserting the pipe symbol between codes, for example, 210|240|320. To select all job classes or bargaining units, leave the respective field blank.

Job Class |
Enter a code or codes to identifying the job classes whose pay rates you want to increase or decrease. Employees within a class share the same salary schedules, pay codes, pay methods, pay groups, calendars, and Workers' Comp codes. |

Bargaining Unit |
Bargaining unit for this job class and position, if applicable. These codes are defined in the Bargaining Unit table. Leave the field blank if a bargaining unit does not apply to the class and position. |
Rate Increase Update Values Section
If you leave any of the following fields blank, the corresponding values in employees' pay rates remain unchanged.

Current Increase A % |
If budgeting for the current year, enter a positive percentage for an increase or a negative percentage for decrease. Enter percentages as decimals (for example, 5% = 0.05).

If budgeting for the budget year, enter a positive percentage for an increase or negative percentage for a decrease. Enter percentages as decimals (for example, 5% = 0.05). You also can enter an amount in addition to the percentage.
