Budget Preparation is a flexible program that is suitable for complex budget procedures as well as comparatively simple ones. Depending on factors such as the size of your organization, level of detail required in your budget figures, and number of levels in your approval process, you may find that your site does not use all of Budget Preparation's features to prepare the annual project budget.
At the most basic level, the system gives you a working space to prepare the project budget: the project budget worksheet. The Budget Entry center's Project options let you update ledger account data at specific budgetary approval levels: Requested, Recommended, and Approved. You can also enter figures for up to four future years.
