Review Position Detail Page

Use this page to review position records.

Human Resources > Entry & Processing > Position Control > Position Control > search for and select a position > select OK

Action Buttons

The Edit Position Detail page provides the following action buttons for accessing additional pages related to Highly Qualified Teacher requirements:

Qualifications

Displays the Link Qualified Area to Position page.

Certifications

Displays the Certification Code Setup page.

Requirements

Displays the Link Requirement to Position page.

Degrees

Displays the Degree Linking Selection page.

For information on the pages accessed, refer to Highly Qualified Teachers: Position Control.

Updating position records

  1. Select Human Resources > Entry & Processing > Position Control > Position Control to display the Position Control page.

  2. In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the positions you want. To perform an advanced search, use the Advanced Search button.

  3. Select OK to list the positions.

  4. In the page's untitled List section, select the position you want to update, and then select OK.

  5. If you need to update any of the pages related to Highly Qualified Teacher requirements, use the following action links: Qualifications, Certifications, Requirements, and Degrees.

  6. If you need to change other information about the position , you will need to enter a change request.

  7. Select OK to save the record.


Position Control in 25.7: The buttons for Requirements, Qualifications, Degrees, and Certifications have moved:

The buttons are hidden under the following conditions:

  1. Position Status Conditions

    • The buttons are hidden if:

      • Position Status is "C" (Closed) or "I" (Inactive), OR

      • Position Status is "A" (Active) but you're viewing it with an "As of Date" that's in the past

  2. Add Mode (New Position Wizard)

    • When adding a new position, these buttons are hidden during the initial wizard workflow. They become available after the position is saved and you're in change mode.

  3. Security Permission Issue

    • The user needs the "MAY UPDATE POSITIONS" security resource (hrm_357). If the demo user doesn't have this permission, the buttons won't appear.

  4. Position Status "N" (New)

    • While this doesn't hide the Requirements/Qualifications/Degrees/Certifications buttons specifically, it does hide the "Occupants" button, which might be related to the overall button visibility issue.
      Quick Fixes to Try:

      • Check Position Status: Make sure you're viewing an Active position with today's date or a future "As of Date

      • Try a Different Position: Test with a known Active position to see if the buttons appear

      • Check if in Add Mode: If you're adding a new position, save it first and then try to access the buttons

      • Check Security: Verify the demo user has the "MAY UPDATE POSITIONS" permission
