Use this page to update back ordered quantities line items for selected requests. You can also generate a report comparing back orders with the stock available for the items requested.
When you select a line item in the page's List section, complete information on the item displays in the Detail section along with three fields for updating the item:
Back Ordered Displays the current back ordered quantity.
Updated By Defaults your user ID, which you may change as needed.
Remark Accepts a note of up to 44 characters.
Updating a back order record generates two inventory transaction records: one that sets the line item's back order quantity to 0.00 and the other that updates the back order quantity with the amount you enter.

Updating back order quantities for request line items

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Warehouse Administration to display the Warehouse Administration page.

Click Back Orders to display the Back Order page.

In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the back orders to list, and then click Find.

In the List section, select the line item you want to update, and then click OK to access the back order in the Detail section.

The Back Ordered field defaults the number of units on back order for the line item.

To update the back order quantity, change the amount displayed.

To delete the full back order quantity, change the amount to 0.0000.

Complete the Updated By and Remarks fields.

Click OK to save the record.
The system creates the transaction records, updates the line item, and returns you to the List section. -
To update another back order, repeat Steps 4-7
Generating the Back Order Edit List

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Warehouse Administration to display the Warehouse Administration page.

Click Back Orders to display the Back Order page.

In the Search Criteria section, enter criteria identifying the back orders to include in the report, and then click Find.

Click Print.

In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is backedit.rpt.

For the selected request line items, the report shows the back ordered quantities compared to the stock available for the corresponding catalog items.

Review the report for any warning messages that display below the stock items' descriptions. If a stock item is associated with more than one line item, a total is provided, and the warning is repeated on the total line.
