Using the Recalculate Price item on the Inventory Catalog page's Action Bar, you can update the prices of selected items in the Inventory Catalog after changes are made to the markup factor for records in the Stock Number table. The equation used for the calculation is:
Average Cost x (1 + Markup Factor) = Price
The markup factor in the equation comes from the item's Stock Number record. This percentage allows you to apply an overhead charge on requested items. A markup is optional.
Whether the calculation occurs for a particular catalog item depends on the setting in the Auto Recalc Price field of the item's Stock Number table record:
-
If the field is selected, then the item's price can be recalculated.
-
If the field is not selected, the calculation is prevented, and updates to the Price field are handled manually.
