The following procedures must be completed before you can process transactions in the Warehouse Inventory System. The order shown is the order in which the procedures should be performed.

Verify that your Warehouse Inventory Profile is set up.

Set up the following reference tables in the Warehouse Inventory System:

If your account structure needs to be changed in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), refer to the PowerSchool ERP Financial Applications Every Student Succeeds Act Fiscal Year-End Checklist for details on converting account structures. -
If your organization uses the PowerSchool ERP Purchasing System to issue purchase orders, keep in mind the following:

Each location in your Warehouse Code table must also have a shipping record in the Shipping Code table.

If you intend to use Warehouse Inventory's Stock Number table and Purchasing's Commodity Codes table, set up the Stock Number table first, so that you can enter stock numbers in your Commodity Codes records.

Use the Warehouse Administration page's Update Inventory Catalog option to set up your Inventory Catalog table. This table contains complete inventory information on stock items, including available quantities, inventory control settings, and costs. To facilitate receiving and requesting, each stock item must have a separate catalog record for each location where the item is stored.
