This is the main page associated with the Batch Requests option. When the Batch Requests page displays, it lists all existing batch files. Each file has a header record identifying the batch and stores one or more requests. A request can include up to 99 line items identifying the stock items being requested.
From the main page, you can:

Add a new batch by clicking Add New to display the Batch Requests Add Page.

Update a batch by selecting it and clicking OK to display the Batch Requests Update Page. In this page, you can update the batch's header record, add requests to the batch, and add line items to the requests. You can also update other batches and add batch files.

Print a report on the requests in a batch by selecting the batch and clicking Print.

Generate the Batch Request Stock Item Summary by selecting a batch and clicking Print Summary on the page's Action Bar.

Post a selected batch's requests to your live database by selecting the batch and clicking Post on the Action Bar. You can also run the Test Batch Request Posting report to look for data conflicts before posting the requests. For additional information on posting, refer to the Posting Batch Files section in the Batch Requests Overview.

Delete a batch file and all of its requests.
The procedures for generating reports, deleting batches, and posting batch requests are covered in the Procedures section below.

Action Bar Items
The Action Bar in the main Batch Requests page displays the following items:

Post |
Posts all requests from a selected batch to the live Warehouse Inventory database. As an option, you can run a test posting first and generate a report to identify any data conflicts. |

Print Summary |
Generates the Batch Request Stock Item Summary for a selected batch. The report provides a comparison between the stock items requested and those on hand. |

Generating reports on selected batch requests

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Batch Requests to display the Batch Requests page.

Select a batch, and then click Print.

In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is brequisi.rpt.
Generating the Batch Request Stock Item Summary
The Batch Request Stock Item Summary provides a comparison between the stock items requested and the quantity that is in stock.

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Batch Requests to display the Batch Requests page.

Select a batch, and then click Print Summary on the Action Bar.

In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is breqsum.rpt.
Deleting batch files

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Batch Requests to display the Batch Requests page.

Select a batch, and then click Delete.

In the Confirmation dialog, click Yes.
Deleting a batch file deletes the batch and all of its requests.
Running a test posting for a selected batch file
The test generates the Test Batch Request Posting report, which shows details on requests that can be posted and those that cannot be because of data conflicts. For information on conditions that can prevent a request from posting, refer to the Posting Batch Requests section in the Batch Requests Overview.

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Batch Requests to display the Batch Requests page.

Select a batch, and then click Post on the Action Bar.

In the Post Batch Requests dialog, click Report Only.

In the Print window, specify how to generate the report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is postreqt.rpt.
Posting batch requests
The following procedure is for posting all requests in a selected batch. If you only want to post selected requests from a batch, refer to the posting procedure in the Batch Requests Update Page.

Run a test posting for the batch containing the records you want to post. For the steps to follow, refer to the previous procedure.

Review the posting report and correct any line items containing errors encountered during the test. For information on changing a batch's records, refer to Batch Requests Update Page.

The report shows you which request headers and line items are suitable to be posted. The report indicates this with the message HEADER ADDED or LINE ADDED alongside each request or line item.

The report also indicates special conditions, for instance when a batch request number is already in use in the live database, in which case the report shows the new number that would be assigned.

The system will not post a request if any one of its line items has a data conflict.

Select Warehouse Inventory > Entry & Processing > Warehouse Inventory > Batch Requests to display the Batch Requests page.

Select a batch, and then click Post on the Action Bar.

In the Post Batch Requests dialog, click Post.

In the Question dialog, click Yes.

In the Print window, specify how to generate the Batch Requests Post Results report, and then click OK. The report's default file name is postreq.rpt.
The posting results also display in the Batch Requests Post Results page. -
If errors are indicated in the posting report and results page, make corrections as needed, and then re-run the post by repeating Steps 3-7.
