Menu Path: Billing & Receipts > System Administration > Cash Receipts > Beginning Receipt Number
Use this page to modify a register's next sequential receipt number. Receipt numbers are 11 characters; the first two characters identify the register and the remaining nine digits are sequential based on the beginning receipt number. By default, the beginning number for a register is 0000000001. For example, the first receipt for register AB is AB000000001.
Modify the Beginning Receipt Number

Select the Beginning Receipt Number page.

Enter the register number.

In the Enter New Receipt Number field, enter the new receipt number. The value in this field defaults to the next receipt for the selected register.

Click OK.
