Use this table to set up groups of fixed assets within the major classifications:

When you add an asset, enter a code from this table to identify its category. You can use Category codes when querying to create reports, such as listing all assets in a particular category.
The default report file name is category.rpt.
If your organization uses the Fixed Assets Communicator module, you must create a record with the code 99999999. By default, this code is used in all asset records uploaded into Fixed Assets with Fixed Assets Communicator.

Accumulated Depreciation Account |
Select the account where depreciation is posted for assets that use this category code. If you depreciate assets and your organization interfaces depreciation to the Fund Accounting System, then enter a fixed asset contra asset (credit balance) account code from your Account List. You must also link the fixed asset contra asset account to a fund in the current fiscal year. When you interface depreciation to Fund Accounting:
