Advanced Workflow Tracking and Recovery Page

Use the Advanced Workflow Tracking and Recovery page to identify when advanced workflow requests have failed to process as expected through the advanced workflow process. The Retry action restarts the advanced workflow process for selected requests from the submit trigger.

From the System Administration menu, select Workflow. From the Advanced Workflow menu, select Advanced Workflow Tracking and Recovery.

The Advanced Workflow Tracking and Recovery page lists requests with the most current record first. You can retry an individual request or select multiple requests on a page. The bulk retry applies to the current tab page and processes up to 10 records. To send additional records, navigate to the next tab page as needed.

Requests are removed from the list when you use the Retry process. If an issue persists, the request reappears in the list. If no retry action is taken on a request within 14 days, the request will expire. Please ensure the requester is informed to resubmit the request.

Workflow Errors

The Workflow Errors tab identifies requests that have become stuck.

Fields and Descriptions

Field

Description

Select

Checkbox to select an individual request to retry

Select the checkbox in the column header list to select all requests on the tab page. A maximum of 10 requests can be selected at one time.

Status

Indicates Error vs Expired.

  • Error = eligible for retry

  • Expired= the request is 14+ days old and no longer eligible for retry.

Workflow

Identifies the workflow type for the request. Request types:

  • Expense

  • Requisition

  • Leave

  • Termination

  • Journal Entry

Request ID

Identifies the specific request

For example, a purchase order number or requisition number

Requester

The user who submitted the request for processing

Creation Date

Date the request was submitted and the workflow was triggered

Error Date

Indicates the date the error occured.

Error Message

Indicates the issue with the request.

Retry

Retries an individual request

Bulk Retry appears in the header if you select multiple requests.

Filter

Options to refine the request list
