Leave Request Workflow Overview
The Leave Request workflow allows employees to initiate leave requests, which are then subject to review, approval, and subsequent reflection in the employees' leave balances.

Employees can initiate a leave request from Employee Access Center.

In addition to notes, employees can attach supporting documents for the leave request.

Leave request approval routing is based on district business rules.

Employees can check the status of leave requests they’ve submitted.

Leave requests can be cancelled, and leave balances are automatically adjusted.

Upon cancellation of approved leave, approvers are notified.

Approved leave requests are loaded to attendance or timesheets.

Delegation is supported on both the approval list and detail screens.

Warnings are shown on the list screen for applicable requests.

Approvers can take action on workflow items from Employee Access Center and the core software.

Leave request history is visible to both employees and approvers.

Post-approval notifications are sent to users who are not approvers.
Create Leave Workflow
Menu path
To access the setup page for Advanced Workflow, follow the steps below:

From the menu, select System Administration.

From System Administration, select Workflow.

From Advanced Workflow, select Workflow Setup.

Select Leave.
The workflow must be enabled in the workflow configuration profile.
Create a group

From the menu, select System Administration.

From System Administration, select Workflow.

From Advanced Workflow, select Workflow Setup.

Select Groups.

Select Create Group.
Once selected, a form will be available for you to input the required information. The following fields are required in the form:

Group Criteria
If you would like to set up Group Criteria, you can configure custom criteria grouping with your group as well. For example, you may want to create a group of all active employees. To do so, you could set up a group criteria to only pull active employees in the system. The following fields are available in the group criteria section
