Use this selection on the Administration menu to set up tax filing status codes for use in EAC. This includes federal, state, and local filing codes. You can add, change, and delete codes as needed.
Adding a tax filing type

Select Tax Filing Type from the Administration menu to display the Tax Filing Type Maintenance page.

Click Add a New Filing Type.

In the Marital Status field, select:
M - Married
O - Other
S - Single
W - Married, Filing Single -
In the EAC Description field, enter text to describe the status.

Click Save.
Changing a tax filing type

Select Tax Filing Type from the Administration menu to display the Tax Filing Type Maintenance page.

Click Edit for the tax filing status you want to change.

Change the values in the Marital Status and EAC Description fields as needed.

Click Save.
Deleting a tax filing type

Select Tax Filing Type from the Administration menu to display the Tax Filing Type Maintenance page.

Click Edit for the tax filing status you want to delete.

Click Delete.

At the delete confirmation prompt, click Yes to delete the record.
Tax Filing Types Options
You can define as many tax filing status codes as needed for the states and municipalities associated with your EAC users. The standard federal codes are:
