Cancel Leave Email Configuration Tab

Use the Cancel Leave Email Configuration tab to determine the following:

  • The maximum number of days prior to the start date of the leave when a leave request can be canceled.

  • Who should receive notification that a leave request has been canceled.

  • Whether the Human Resources department should be notified that a leave request has been canceled.

  • Email address of the user in the Human Resources department receiving the cancel notification.

Apply

Saves your settings.

Undo

Resets any changes you made prior to the last time you clicked Apply.

Description

Maximum Number of Days Prior to Start Date to Allow Cancellation

Number of days prior to the start date to allow employees to cancel a leave request. For example, if the leave start date is October 15, and you enter 10 in this field, an employee will be able to cancel that request on or before October 5. If you enter a 0 in this field, an employee may cancel the request up to and including October 15. If you enter a -7 in the field, an employee may cancel the request up to and including October 22.

Notify on Cancel

The setting to determine who should receive notification when a leave request has been canceled.

Select:

Employee Only - Only the employee who canceled the leave request will receive notification that their request has been canceled.
All approvers who have approved the request and the employee - The employee who canceled the leave request and all approvers who have approved the leave request will receive notification that the request has been canceled.

Notify HR on Cancel for Requests Interfaced to Attendance

Determines when the Human Resources department should receive notification that a leave request has been canceled.

Select:

Always - Notify the Human Resources department anytime a leave request is canceled.
Only if attendance could not be deleted - Notify the Human Resources department when an employee cancels a leave request that has been approved and interfaced to Attendance and the cancel process is not able to delete the associated attendance. This will occur if the attendance record has been deleted, a substitute has been added, or if it has been posted. In these cases, the employee's record will need to be corrected through PowerSchool ERP.
Only if attendance was successfully deleted - When an employee cancels a leave request that has been approved and interfaced to Attendance and the cancel process was able to delete the associated attendance.
Never - Never notify the Human Resources department when a leave request is canceled.

HR Email Address

Email address of the user in the Human Resources department who should receive email notifications based on the settings in the Notify HR On Cancel Requests Interfaced to Attendance field. If multiple email addresses should receive the notification, separate each address by a comma or semicolon.
