If the site selects the option to auto-assign employee numbers on the Interface Setup page, the site will need to ensure that the options to auto-number employees are activated on the Human Resources Profile.

If the site does not auto-assign employee numbers, then the new employee numbers must be stored in the Employee/Applicant number fields in the import file's records.
