User Maintenance Overview
The User Maintenance page allows users to edit the Employee Timesheet interface and abilities for employees, supervisors and administrative users. When Employee Timesheets is first installed, a global administrator will be added to the software and this user will do additional setup.
Menu Path: Administration > User Maintenance
Editing a profile

Under Administration, Select User Maintenance.

Define your search by selecting the option to search by Name, Employee Number, Email Address or Department. Depending on your choice, appropriate search fields will display for you to enter your criteria.

Select Search.

In the Search Results list, select the desired record, and then Select Edit.

Edit the fields as needed.

Select Save.

Enter a new password for the user and then Select Reset Password to change their password. Leave it blank to keep the current password. |

User Departments Section
This section allows you to define the employee's Primary and Other departments using the Departments as defined in the Employee Timesheets Department table. Every user must have a primary department. Additionally, the employee may have other departments which they can enter time against. If an employee has multiple departments, each department must be of the same time type (daily entry or timeclock entry) and all time submission, overtime, and exception rules will feed from the employee's primary department. Time entered against secondary departments only defines who approves that block of time.

Selection of departments to assign the user to in addition to their Primary Department. Users may have multiple departments to enter time in. Each additional department must use the same time type, such as Daily Entry or Time Clock Entry |
Supervisor Setup Section
This section contains options for supervisor status in different departments. Each has the option to supervise the department, include that department's linked departments and specify the approval level. Supervisor Setup is used to define this user as a supervisor. This also defines the departments required for their approvals and their level of approval for the department.
