Workflow Application Setup

To access the setup page for Advanced Workflow, follow the steps below:

  1. From the menu, select System Administration.

  2. From System Administration, select Workflow.

  3. From Advanced Workflow, select Workflow Setup.

  4. Select Applications and choose the application you would like to setup.

“All Workflow Types require at least one Approval Level. To add an approval level, use the Add Approval button and fill out the following fields through the form setup:

Approval Level Title*

Custom text field for your organization’s approval level. Multiple approval levels can be configured. The default option will be Approver Level 1, Approver Level 2, etc.

Requires Default Approver

Select to require a default approver for this workflow level. If cleared, the level is skipped if no approvers are identified.

Default Approver

*Required if default approver is selected. From the dropdown menu, select the role for the default approver

Groups (users that raise the request)

From the dropdown menu, select the groups available in EFIN. If the desired group is not available, configure a group in the setup area

Roles ( users that approve the request)

From the dropdown menu, select the roles available in EFIN. If the desired group is not available, configure a group in the setup area

In order to configure Advanced Workflow, Groups and Roles will need to be assigned prior to setting up an application workflow.

Organize Approver Levels

If you would like to reorganize your approver levels, you can do so without deleting or reconfiguring your work. To do so, follow the steps below.

  1. From the menu, select System Administration.

  2. From System Administration, select Workflow.

  3. From Advanced Workflow, select Workflow Setup.

  4. Select Applications and choose the application you would like to setup.

  5. Select the ellipsis, select Move Up or Move Down to reorganize the approval flows.

Any changes in the setup will impact future requests once saved. Existing requests will follow the flow in place when the request was created.
